Florida - Georgia Junior College Player Showcase & All-Star Game

The purpose of this event is to provide fun, well-organized games in order to expand the exposure and recruitment of players from all Junior Colleges in Florida. Also, to provide an arena for players who have worked hard all season to be rewarded with the opportunity to play under the spotlight.



The event will feature the following: 

• 2 competitive games guaranteed (80 spots available) 
• an All Star Game Florida vs Georgia (based on nominations)
• an All-Star 3-Point Shootout featuring the top shooters from each school, based on 3-Point percentage, to compete for the state title. 
• an All-Star Dunk Contest featuring one representative from each school, if they choose, to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest. 
• $50 registration fee per player for the showcase; No fee to compete in the All Star Game if selected

All Star Selection process: 
The participants for the Florida/Georgia All-Star Challenge will be selected by the four conference chairs in Florida and Georgia. The final selections will be made public on March 1, 2008. There will be NO entry fee for any player in the Florida/Georgia All-Star Challenge Game. They will be required to complete a registration form.

Player Showcase Registration:
Eligible junior college players may register online or by mail. All registrations must be received no later than March 12th. Only the first 80 players to register will be allowed to play. The final selections will be  posted online on the 13th.


Other Benefits:
The entire event, including the games, the dunk contest and the three-point shootout, will be filmed by professional videographers and posted online for college coaches to view. Players will be able to upload the videos to their profiles for free. 

• A photographer will be on site taking pictures of the event. Players and families will be able to upload pictures to their profiles for free. 
• All-Star Programs with player information and statistics will be available at the door for coaches and fans in attendance and they will also be available online. Player's personal information will only be available for coaches. 
• National scouts, four-year college coaches and sports writers will be in attendance.
